With a smile he watched her wake up the next morning, lifting his head proudly as she limped over to the stream. yawning quickly, he sweeped his gaze across the treeline protectively. "I don't know, love," her muttered almost sadly as he turned back to her. "But I've seen one of the Alphas' pups, Grace, wandering around."

she looked at him and stretched herself full length out and looked at him. " that is good atleast we know their is a heir" she said softly. She rolled over on to her back letting the dew wet her pelt before glancing back at him a smile brightening her features.

"Yes. And she seems like a little bad-mouth, like my mother River. It makes sense, seeing as River is Grace's grandmother." With a smirk at the thought he looked contently at his mate, pawing softly at her fluffy pelt. His own shaggy pelt was shedding even as the wind blew, carrying minescule clumps of his fur with it. "So, what would you like to do today, love?"

Katie laughed " yes love it makes sense your mother was wonderful" she said softly. Pawing him back playfully she grinned playfully if only her leg would heal faster him and her could do so much more. " I dunno love I'll do whatever you want to do" she said softly looking at him with a smug grin on her features she was happy.

With a smirk he nodded, looking out into the forest. "Yeah, she was...she still is, though just not so much mentally stable since my brother's dissapearence." With a sigh he shook his head, clearing the thoughts from his mind. "Would you take a walk with me then, love? It would help your leg if you got some excercise."

She nodded her understandment. " Of course love I would love to take a walk with you" she said softly. She stood up slowly putting some weight on her hurt foot it actually felt better. She licked his muzzled "whenever you are ready love" she said.

The obsidian male smiled, standing quickly as he saw his mate getting to her feet - his white marking seemed to shimmer in the sunlight. A quick shake of his thinning fur is given, some of the dead clumps of the pelt falling out; in the end, this shedding would help him. For the summer season was upon Wolf Pack once more, especially Terikon, and a thick pelt would do no good with this blistering heat.
With a smirk Horatio turned his head toward his mate, ears pricking intently forward at her words. The brute nodded then, his large form gracefully coming to his mate's side protectively as he started off toward the tree line. His plan? To show Katie something he'd been working on since the day of her dissapearence - a present.

She smirked right back at him before rubbing her muzzle against his peltage. The heat was bearable when Horatio was around but when he wasnt ist wasnt so easy. She lifted her leg and used him to get started before limping forward letting him lead the way since she had no idea where they were headed.

Horatio Caine kept a steady pace, making sure Katie's shoulder was always even with his muscular flank in case she needed something to lean on. His ears pricked intently forward and, lifting his muzzle into the air, he sniffed about before turning to the left, making sure Katie was with him before going on.
They arrived soon after at a break in the forest, where a clearing appeared; in the middle was a small lake, and by its side - on the opposite bank - rested a weeping willow tree. It was only then that Horatio left Katie's side, loping quickly forth and clearing the lake in one, agile leap, landing firmly on his paws. He turned toward the gigantic tree then, studying its huge, knobby trunk before nodding with a small smile. This was the place.
He advanced then, digging out some debri that had gathered amongth the base of the old tree. Finally, an opening appeared - the enterence to a den -, and Horatio climbed down the tunnel. The narrow tunnel - just big enough for a massive wolf like Horatio to fit through - was decieving, for the den itself was atleast fifteen feet long, and tall enough so that any wolf could comfortably stand and move around. QUickly, before Katie came, H cleaned the place up, then travelled back up the tunnel and, with three whines and a bark, invited Katie to join him.

Katie kept Horatios pace and loped easily alone now used to her limping state. When they reached the lake and she saw the tall weeping willow she smiled it was so beautiful. Her eyes practically watered and she fell even more in love with her love. When he lept across the the lake she was in awe at his grace and manly power. she watched him begin to dig and she tilted her head wondering what he was up to and a smile curled her lips. When he bark and whined for her Katie came forward truding through the water not quite yet ready to make that leap. She came to the entrance and entered looking at Horatio and then her eyes wandered to the interior of the den and her mouth dropped opened "its beautiful" she whispered.

With a smirk Horatio turned and trotted into a corner, turning around just in time to see Katie crawl down the tunnel. He smiled contentedly as she looked about the place, his tail waving steadily yet slowly at his heals. At her whispering his ears cocked forward, and the obsidian wolf bowed his head almost shamefully. "I tried to make it as beautiful as you...but it wasn't possible, because your gorgeous."
True, flattering the female always helped - but what he spoke of was the truth in the brute's eyes. They seemed to sparkle as they looked upon his mate now, and a smile pulled at the corners of his lips. Horatio padded across the dirt floor now, sliding with some 'fancy footwork' to a stand at his mate's side, and lowering his rump to the earth. His tongue swiped out, lashing across the bridge of Katie's gray muzzle, his golden eyes staring steadily into her caramel-hued brown optics.
