Keke;;; +.You take a hit, now, You feel it break down; Make you stay, Wide awake; This is how a heart breaks.+
A snarl ripped angrily through her bodice as Darcia attacked her mate, and the black femmora loped forward, somehow finding strength in her old limbs. The 10 year old then launched herself over the dead body of Prestige and twisted herself so her shoulder faced toward Darcia. But the attack had been badly aimed because rage had blinded her, and the target was missed; luckily, Keke managed to keep her footing. With a growl the female swung around, tail raised and hair bristled, head lowered past shoulder level. Lips were curled back now, though she took a step back from the tussle - this was between her son and the bastard of an intruder now.
---+--- Denali;;; +.And this is the sound of a broken heart beating, Almost died when I found your heart cheating. Not gonna last very much longer, You gotta keep this broken heart stronger..+
Hazel-gold eyes with that fleck of green below the left iris stared unwavering into Darcia's, challenging. Lips twitched at his smirk, though her suddenly stiff muscles seemed to restrain her from attacking the wide-open brute; but Jean-Claude had him now. A tear was sliding down her cheak without her knowledge as she watched her father die, but knowingly she heald back the urge to show weakness - to mourn. Quickly, Denali was distracted though, as she watched Claude advance Darcia with the intent to kill him. With a sudden whimper she flung herself between them, her medium-sized body creating a block between the two male, obsidian wolves - one with a white star on his chest, the other untouched by any other coloration. One her brother, one...one her love. Would Claude understand? Would Darcia understand?

The dark bastard had mouth wide open intent to rip Claudes throat out but the white crested brute had his head low and mouth wide open ready to rip him apart. Fear curled low into Darcia belly he was really going to die by a male that truly did out power him in more ways than one. He closed his eyes for a moment his life going in slow motion and then a sweet feminine scent filled his nostrils and the brush of anothers pelt brushed across his muzzle the smell intoxicating. He opened his bright yellow eyes and saw the femora from before blocking his view from the other. His lip twiched in a smirk as the brute went to slide out from underneath her he found his body was trapped by the huge brutes 'shit I'm stuck' he thought.
A growl tore from Claudes mouth when he saw Denali block the brute from a sudden death. He glared at her with his own yellow orbs before his deep baritone voice came from between his lips in an angry growl "MOVE DENALI NOW!" Claude watched his sister and felt the brute slipping away before stepping on the tail of the brute yet to recieve his punishment 'death.' " Denali this brute has to be punished he has done something terrible in all more ways than one he killed father do you not want revenge for him." Claude looked back at Keke for moral support and then turned his attention back to his sister waiting with an angry stance if he had to he would use force but no to hurt just to move her and kill him.

Denali;;; +.I drowned out all my sense with, The sound of its beating...+
Jean-Claude's harsh, yellow glare was hurtful, but even more-so was his yelling. The vocals seemed to pierce right through her and puncture her heart. Slowly, she forced her gaze away from his, inward pain flickering in those oddly marked eyes of her's. Denali made an attempt to stifle the whimper that travelled up her throat now, and she swallowed hard, ears falling back and plastering to her cranium; but Claude's next words caused them to fly up and to attention, and with an angry snort she raised her optics to match her brother's; though the harm he had done to her still showed through. "Revenge, Claude?" She growled, though not angrily, "Hasn't there been enough blood on these lands already? If anything, the bastard behind me deserves a nasty scar," she paused, almost thoughtfully, then started to speak again, tones softer; "Please, try to understand, Claude; none deserve to die, not without honor atleast. Prest--Father died protecting Mother - with the honor of matehood. Darcia...deserves that honor as well, as all of us do. The honor of love." Now, she lowered her head, knowing that some kind of beating would follow. A whine escaped her throat, and she took a step back from her sibling, feeling almost comforted as her pelt connected with Darcia's own. Why, she did not know; maybe it had been something in his eyes when he'd smirked at her. Whatever it was, Denali felt that whatever punishment was enforced by Jean-Claude after this, somehow she knew Darcia would be there afterwoods. Or maybe she...hoped he would... With a whimper the feminine, black bodice tinted by gray lowered toward the muddy ground, her once beautiful, shining fur caked with dry dirt. Ears lowered now, tail tucking between her hind legs. What happened next, she did not know; the only thing she was sure of was the absence of Keke; where had her Mother wondered off to?
+.And thats what you get when you let your heart win, Whoa...+

Hearing the whimper in his sister voice he relaxed soem he could never hurt her in anyway. When she continued to speak of this so called love of matehood he actually felt his sister was falling for this dark bastard and a nasty sneer spread across his maw. He watched his sister go into a submission stance and perked his ears and his hackled rose tail going erect before baring his fangs at the brute before him he growled a warnign while he thought over what he could do with this dark brute. It immediatly came to his mind that if his sister really wanted this brute she could have him as long as he stayed far away from him. He snarl moved to a up to something grin and he turned toward his sister neck still protected " very well Denali" he growled " this brute will be under your care until I can judge him for what he truly is, if he steps out of place atleast once you better say goodbye to him for you will never see him again."
Darcia watched the fae what was she thinking he very well deserved to die for the crime he just committed in the pack ranks. He got to his feet when the brute spoke of his punishment being stuck with this fae. A sinister smirk crawled across the dark brutes maw and he looked at Denali what fun he was going to have with this fae. He lifted his head and looked for the former Alphess Keke where was she he didnt care really he wanted to kill her but his attention was focused on this fae before him in a submissive state.

Keke;;; +.I wanna run away, Never say goodbye.+
Meanwhile, Keke had turned and fled the scene. She'd been too shocked by the whole thing, but Prestige's death and Denali's actions hit her the worst. What in the hell was going on with the world? Whimpers admitted from her maw as she loped through the forest, tongue hanging out as she panted tiredly. Thoughts were racing through her mind, and all she wanted to do was run away from it all; what else was left for her in this blasted place? Jean-Claude was now Alpha, with no mate at his side, and Denali was on her own rode; one that most likely ended in a traitor's jaws. And Keke didn't want to be caught in the middle.
She escaped her thoughts when her foot was suddenly caught in a root, sticking up from the ground and, tripping and flying harshly through the air to land on her chest with a dull thud, a yelp of pain soared from her mouth. "Could life get any worse?" The retoricle question sounded dully from her maw, vocals barely audible and choked. The black femme attempted to wriggle her paws free, but it was to no avail; for teh slightest movement of the broken limb and foot sent sharp pain wracking her whole body. And so the former Alphess simply lay there, and with a soft sigh, rested her head on her free paw.
.Denali. +.Don't know what's down this rode, I'm just walkin'. Trying to see through the rain coming down. Even though I'm not the only one, Who feels the way I do...+
A shiver of shock wracked through her whole body now as Denali listened to Jean-Claude's words; he'd agreed with her? Worst of all, he'd let Darcia stay alive? A soft nod is given and, still visibly shaken, raised her trembling body and turned slowly toward the brute she'd jsut saved. "Come," she growled the order between clenched teeth, "Now." With that she swung her head, her breathing shallow, and hesitated for a moment; a thankful sent Jean-Claude's way - surely he'd never forgive her for this. She turned toward her brother, taking a step toward him - but haulting. Her furry head lowered, and with a solemn sigh, she closed her eyes and turned away, opening her optics once more and loping quickly away.
+.I'm alone, on my own, And that's all I know. I'll be strong, I'll be wrong; Oh, but life goes on. Oh I'm just a girl, trying to find a place in this world.+
[[OOC; So..are they going to be become mates? I think it'd be interesting, and Denali is on the edge of depression - so it'd be a good thing for her. Might get Darcia's head straight as well, lol.]]

The yelp from far off made Claude glance at his sister as she told the brute to come on. He smirked he would have fun watching the two quarrel. He watched her walk off giving Darcia a glare before turning his back to the direction the yelp came from and loped off in that particular direction. " MOTHER" Claude yelled sniffing the ari for her before coming upon her in a weird situation " are you ok" he asked her softly before coming to in front of her.
Darcia watched the brute give him a glare. He turned his attention to the fem 'who was she to boss him around like a toy' he though rather annoyied. He slowly followed after her non to happily even if he was happy that she saved his hide. He loped up behind her keeping her in his sites he could take her out and run when he felt the time was right but now when the new Alpha was close he wouldnt be able to get away and would definatly be killed.

.Keke. +.Oh, and why would you wanna break, A perfectly good heart?.+
Seeing Jean-Claude's worried face made Keke smile, though weakly; through tears. She lifted her head, twisting her broken paw loose from the root's hold. "yes, I'm fine. Just a blasted root; my hips aren't well, and I can't move quite as well as I used to." With a sigh she lifted her head, petite body shifting its weight until it rested on her unharmed hip. "Where's your sister?" She asked suddenly, green eyes filling with sudden worry.

Claude looked at Kekes' paw and the nodded subtly his mother was getting old. He sat beside his mothers old form and when she spoke of his sister he sighed. " mother I put her in charge of the brute for awhile until I can give him judgement but I told him if he got out of line I would kill him" he said even though deep down he felt he had made a real mistake.

+.Letting go, and no one knows... That you cry, but you don't tell anyone, That you might not be the golden one. Oh and your tied together by a smile, But your coming undone.+
Keke seemed startled by the news, and she quickly stood, holding up her left - broken - paw. "If he hurts her I swear his blood will spill..." she growled out suddenly, lips twitching and lifting partially, revealing just one of her silver canine fangs. "I'll never trust him. You shouldn't either. What if he..." But she stopped, refusing to think such cruel things could ever happen to her only daughter.

Claude plastered his harks to him cranium at his mothers word she made him feel rather bad. He looked at his mother " to be honest I dont trust him anyhow" he said quietly. He looked down at his paws that male was nothing but trouble but he was gonna prove to his sister that what she did was wrong.

Seeing quickly she'd hurt him Keke sighed softly, inching toward Jean-Claude's young form and giving his cheak a small nuzzle. "It was a hard choice, I know - and your sister was rather convincing. Which is why I ran away..I couldn't stand watching her like that." The female shook her head softly in a motherly way, ears plastering to her cranium. "Hopefully she won't get herself hurt." She murmered, mostly to herself.

He licked his mothers cheek in understanding. " mother I didnt want to hurt her worse but I fear my choice was a bad one " he said softly. He looked out speaking of the two where had they run off to had him worried. He looked at his mother " lets hope she doesnt get hurt worse" he said nuzzling his mother softly in a son manner. He laid down putting his head on his paws sighing.

With a knowing nod the old she-wolf lowered herself to a laying position at her son's side, resting her head on the left side of her paws; away from his. With a sigh she sheilded her thoughts protectively through her eyes as she looked off into the distance, trying to figure out the reasoning behind Denali's actions.

" I think she is very confused with her emotions" he said cooly looking at this mother from the side. " in all of it mother I think she has fallen for that brute very hard" he said softly. Claude sat up how could he have let himself go through with this if that brute harmed her he would kill him.

Keke nodded gravely, a solemn sigh passing her lips. "Hopefully she'll be smarter than that. SHe used to be so strong..." The last part was muttered out thoughtfully, for Keke had always thought Denali invincible to these types of things; Denali had always been the defiant pup, always testing Jean-Claude's leadership. She shook her head softly; the memories were painful now.
